Ellie’s

From the business: Ellie’s Fine Resale is a small consignment boutique with a big style and affordable fashion. At Ellie’s, we have something for every woman looking to be her own kind of beautiful – shoes, accessories, fine handbags, and apparel. Established in 2016.

Ellie’s has gorgeous outfits, including designer finds, bags, shoes, jackets, and more. This store is carefully curated; there is no “junk” here. Everything is nicely organized, and there are sections for brands like Talbot’s, Chico’s, etc.

Prices are a bit higher than chains like Goodwill, but if you’re going for quality, you can find well-priced goods here. They even have a $5 rack where I’ve found designer pants!

Carol (the owner) has a great sense of style. Check out her windows displays! She will guide you in finding that perfect item for yourself or a loved one.

HOURS  11 – 5 pm Monday through Saturday.

Flawsome

This shop is a close second to Ellie’s! Flawsome is a women’s clothing that sells both new and preloved items in downtown Waynesville. They also have some a wide variety upscale finds and a good selection of hats, designer jeans, tops, pants, dresses, shoes, and jewelry.

Flawsome often has sales of 10-40% off.

HOURS 10-5 pm, Monday through Saturday.

Cornerstone Mercantile

From the business:

Cornerstone Mercantile offers a clean and comfortable environment for customers to explore and shop for a wide variety of preloved and repurposed items for home or office. The establishment hosts over 50 dealers and artists who continually bring in unique and one-of-a-kind pieces each week. The store’s inventory includes an impressive selection of repurposed, vintage, and antique furniture, as well as lighting, art, home decorations, and much more, catering to a diverse range of tastes and preferences. Visitors are likely to encounter items that evoke memories of their childhood or other significant moments.

We just love this store, from the huge selection of goods to the friendly owner, shopping carts and (sometimes) free sweet treats at the front counter. A mix of vintage, modern and country styles, this resale store features mostly home goods, art, kitchen knick-knacks, and even a pet section that benefits Sarge’s Animal Rescue (https://www.sarges.org/)

HOURS  10 am – 5 pm Monday through Saturday

Within Reach

Located in the charming Hazelwood neighborhood, this humble but well-stocked store benefits women in need. It is less “designer” focused, but still has cute items women (and men) including dresses, jackets, tops, pants, shoes, and accessories.

There’s also a lovely coffee shop and cute diner to recharge before or after shopping!

We love the home goods section and find all kinds of steals here including Christmas decor, dishes, glassware, books and CDs for $1, and gift cards for 25 cents.

HOURS 11 to 5 pm Monday through Friday; call (828) 454-5998 for Saturday hours.

Scallywag’s

This is a local favorite for used furniture, dishes, china, art, kitchen goods, linens, and more. Many items at the Farmhouse were found here, including our coffee table, kitchen table, and some of our art!

HOURS  10 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday
